Study in USA fair attracts thousands in Hyderabad

Education USA at the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) in Hyderabad hosted a university fair on Saturday. More than 3,000 students who want to study in the United States registered for the event. They had the opportunity to talk to representatives from US universities, Education USA advisers, and US Consulate visa officials. The event was opened by Acting US Consul-General and Consular Chief Rebekah Drame. After Hyderabad, the fair will visit seven other cities in India before concluding in Bengaluru on September 3.

Representatives from 40 accredited universities and colleges in the United States participated in the fair. They offered a variety of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Visa officials from the US Consulate in Hyderabad were also present to answer questions about the US student visa application process.

Rebekah Drame emphasized the strong educational ties between the US and India and the importance of these in-person events. She said that they help students and parents make informed decisions about studying in the United States, learn about the visa application process, and become familiar with other aspects of studying and living in the country.
