Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santhosh has directed officials to speed up the selection of eligible beneficiaries under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. He highlighted the importance of fairness and urgency during a review meeting on Friday at the IDOC Conference Hall.

Officials must follow the government’s rules closely when choosing who gets help through the housing program. The Collector ordered that selection should be completed at the gram panchayat level without delay. A complete report must show how many houses are approved, how many people qualify, and how many were rejected.

He also made it clear that every rejection must include a written reason. MPDOs must work with special officers to finish all on-site inspections of the proposed housing sites.

In addition, the Collector called for faster processing of applications under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme. He stressed that the selection should be honest and follow the government’s guidelines carefully.

Each application must go through a detailed review. Only those who truly qualify should be chosen. The Collector also asked for better teamwork between district officials and banks to meet the program’s targets.

Key members at the meeting included Additional District Collectors Lakshminarayana and Narsing Rao, DPO Nagendram, ED SC Corporation Ramesh Babu, LDM Srinivasa Rao, municipal commissioners, MPDOs, and other officials.

This session showed the district’s strong focus on delivering welfare schemes fairly and on time. The goal is clear: make sure every benefit reaches the right person without errors or delays.
