    District Collector Badavath Santosh has urged teachers to provide quality education to students in government schools. On Tuesday, he made a surprise visit to Santa Bazaar Primary School in Bijnapally Mandal Center.

    The Collector visited classrooms and evaluated the fifth-grade students’ skills in subtraction and mental arithmetic. He also checked student numbers and teacher attendance. After observing the teaching methods, he stressed the need for better infrastructure in government schools.

    During his visit, the Collector reminded everyone that free uniforms, textbooks, and notebooks are provided to students. He encouraged students to make the most of this support, study hard, and bring pride to their parents and school. Students were also encouraged to ask teachers any questions they had.

    The Collector expressed satisfaction with the students’ abilities but noted water leakage in classrooms during rain. He directed engineering officials to address the issue and suggested building a new kitchen for the school.

    He reviewed the current kitchen and recommended using ₹9.5 lakhs from the Amma Model School fund for necessary construction and repairs. The Collector also inspected the upper floor classrooms and instructed repairs to prevent rainwater from entering.

    Later, the Collector examined a site near Chegunta Stage for constructing a model school. He directed the Tahsildar to identify 20 acres of government land for an Integrated Model School with spacious sports grounds, large classrooms, and teachers’ quarters. He also instructed the RDO to find a suitable site within the Nagar Kurnool constituency.

    Accompanying the Collector were Mandal Special Officer Ramadevi, Bijnapally Tahsildar Sriramulu, and EEPR, among others.
