    Gadwal: District Collector B. M. Santosh has instructed officials to speed up the completion of the Government Medical College. He stressed that the facilities should be ready for use soon.

    During a review meeting on Tuesday at the IDOC conference hall, Collector Santosh emphasized the importance of following the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines for setting up the medical college.

    Collector Santosh also highlighted the need to provide details and qualifications for hospital positions to fill vacancies quickly. He stressed that all necessary medical equipment, including beds, should be functional and well-maintained. Equipment from Alampur Hospital will be used if needed.

    The Collector instructed that a committee of all professional teachers at the medical college be formed to oversee its operations. He also emphasized the prompt completion of essential facilities like water and electricity.

    “Everyone should work together and prepare the medical college as soon as possible,” he urged.

    The meeting was attended by Medical College Principal Parvathy, Deputy DM HO Siddappa, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Naveen Kranti, Resident Medical Officer Dr. Vaisali, Mission Bhagiratha EE Bhimeswar Rao, Employment Officer Priyanka, and other medical staff.

    The quick completion and readiness of the Government Medical College is expected to greatly improve healthcare services in the region.
