Speaking at a meeting organized by the District Agriculture Department on Thursday at the Nagarkurnool Collectorate, the Collector explained the purpose of the PM-KISAN scheme. He mentioned that the scheme provides ₹6,000 annually to farmer families owning cultivable land. The financial aid, given in three installments of ₹2,000 each, is meant to help farmers manage agricultural expenses and household needs.

The Collector urged officials to identify all eligible farmers who held land passbooks as of 2019 and include them in the scheme. He emphasized the importance of completing the registration process quickly while ensuring proper verification of documents and the mandatory KYC process.

The Collector asked officials to speed up registration efforts and ensure no eligible farmer is left out. He also stressed the need to raise awareness about the scheme at the village level so that farmers understand and access the benefits.

The meeting was attended by District Agriculture Officer Chandrasekhar, mandal-level agriculture officials, and other key stakeholders. The Collector concluded by urging everyone involved to work together to ensure the success of this important initiative aimed at supporting the farming community.
