Rangareddy district’s Collector C Narayan Reddy confirmed the government’s dedication to assisting Bharat Future City farmers. He took part in allotting plots via a lottery.
Farmers from seven villages in Yacharam and Kandukur mandals, within the Maheshwaram constituency, received plots. These plots are in a new layout at Meerkhanpet in Kandukur mandal.
The Collector assured farmers of valuable plots with full facilities. The government will cover all development and registration costs.
He advised farmers not to sell their plots, highlighting a planned radial road in the area. This was part of the lottery event for farmers losing land to the project.
The Collector also managed the registration process to support farmers. In this first phase, 670 farmers received plots through the lottery. The government is offering developed plots and compensation to farmers in Kandukur, Yacharam, and Kadthal mandals who are losing land for the new Bharat Future City.
The previous BRS government proposed Hyderabad Pharma City in 2017, planning to acquire over 13,500 acres. The current Congress government has reimagined this as Bharat Future City, focusing on start-ups in AI, pharmaceuticals, medical tourism, and sports. The city will span 30,000 acres with full infrastructure.
Key attendees included TSIIC Managing Director K Shashank, local MLAs from Ibrahimpatnam and Maheshwaram, RDOs Jagadishwar Reddy and Ananth Reddy, DPO Suresh Mohan, and other officials.
