Hyderabad: On Wednesday, heavy rain caused significant waterlogging at Dornakal yard in Telangana, disrupting train services on the South Central Railway. This led to many trains being canceled, diverted, or shortened to ensure passenger safety and smooth operations.
The Guntur to Secunderabad train (No 12705) was completely canceled. Additionally, parts of the routes for trains including Secunderabad–Guntur, Adilabad–Tirupati, and Guntur–Secunderabad were also canceled. Eight major trains traveling to cities like Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Kakinada, and New Delhi were rerouted. These trains bypassed several stations such as Warangal, Khammam, Kazipet, and Vijayawada.
Railway officials are actively working to restore normal services, with ongoing checks to ensure train safety. Passengers are encouraged to verify the latest train schedules before starting their trips.
