Nearly a decade after audiences were first introduced to the world of Mahishmathi, the kingdom returns with Baahubali: The Epic – a re-edited and remastered version of S. S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion into a single cinematic experience to celebrate the franchise’s legacy. Scheduled for worldwide release on October 31st, the movie is reported to have a runtime of 3 hours and 43 minutes.

The franchise, which redefined Indian cinema, has already amassed Rs 5 crore in advance bookings ahead of its much anticipated re-release. Early trends suggest it could witness one of the biggest openings ever for a re-released Indian film.

The makers added to the anticipation of the film by uploading a two-and-a-half- minute trailer on YouTube with the caption, ‘#BaahubaliTheEpic.’ The trailer captures the epic rivalry between the two brothers vying for the throne and the events that unfold afterward. It has reignited excitement for the movie across the world, serving as a nostalgic experience for fans of the saga who get to see Prabhas reprise his iconic role as Amarendra Baahubali once again.

Contrary to rumours, Rajamouli stated that there are no additional or unseen scenes in the re-release. He also mentioned that famous songs like Kanna Nidurinchara and Pacha Bottesina were trimmed due to runtime constraints. In a special interview released by the makers along with Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, the director promised fans a surprise, with the teaser of Baahubali: The Eternal War set to release during the interval. It is a high-end 3D animation film made with a massive budget of 120 crores, which continues the story of the Baahubali world with the addition of new characters alongside the old. The release date of the same is not confirmed.

The movie will be released across multiple languages in high-end formats such as 4DX, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX, offering fans a grand cinematic spectacle to look forward to in theatres.
