Collector Rahul Sharma urges faster completion of Saraswati Pushkaram works

Bhupalapally: District Collector Rahul Sharma has asked officials to speed up the preparations for the upcoming Saraswati Pushkaralu festival and finish all work by May 4.

He visited Kaleshwaram in Mahadevpur mandal to check on the construction going on for the convenience of the devotees. During his visit, he inspected the ramp being built at the VIP ghat, the installation of the Saraswati Devi statue, and the permanent toilet facilities being constructed.

The Collector also looked at the work being done at the main ghat. This included building more toilets, setting up electric poles, creating bathing steps at the Pushkar ghats, and checking the water tank being built by the Rural Water Supply (RWS) department.

After the inspection, Rahul Sharma held a meeting with officials at the EO office. He told them to make sure all arrangements for the festival are completed on time. He stressed the need to provide facilities like toilets, drinking water, bathing steps, changing rooms, and temporary shelters for the devotees. He also said that the work should be of good quality.

Additional Collector Vijayalakshmi, DPO Narayana Rao, other district officials, irrigation staff, and Temple EO Mahesh were also present during the visit.
