Karimnagar: To mark World Health Day, the Indian Medical Association and the Physicians Association of Karimnagar held a special seminar on Monday. The event focused on important health topics such as caring for mothers, newborn babies, and preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
As part of the event, a blood donation camp was organized at the Government Hospital. Doctors and medical staff came forward to donate blood, collecting a total of 41 units. These donations will help support people from underprivileged communities.
During the seminar, Dr. Enamalla Naresh, President of the Indian Medical Association, spoke about this year’s World Health Day theme. He said that the World Health Organization (WHO) has chosen “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures” as the theme for 2024, highlighting the importance of health from the very start of life.
