In Gadwal, District Collector B.M. Santosh is taking a significant step to address pension issues faced by retired government workers. A Pension Adalat is scheduled for July 25, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Joint Mahabubnagar District Collectorate’s Conference Hall. This event will gather Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) from the joint Mahabubnagar district.
The primary goal is to quickly resolve outstanding pension and General Provident Fund (GPF) cases. This will involve working closely with the Principal Accountant General of Telangana and district pension committees. The Adalat will address pensioner complaints, guide officers on proposal submissions, speed up resolutions, and decrease legal disputes over pensions.
A workshop will be held on pension and GPF issues, involving officers from Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool. This session aims to clarify procedures and tackle administrative delays causing pension backlogs.
The Collector has directed all department heads in Jogulamba Gadwal district to ensure at least one officer from each department attends the workshop. District Treasury and Sub-Treasury Officers must also be present with all necessary pension and GPF documents.
The Collector emphasized that any negligence or delay will be taken seriously. This event is crucial for providing long-awaited justice to pensioners who have served the government for many years.
