Gadwal: On Saturday, District Collector B.M. Santosh urged officials to speed up the land acquisition for the Jawahar Nettempadu Lift Irrigation Project. This was discussed in a review meeting at the Collector’s Conference Hall.
The focus was on acquiring land for the right canal, known as Kudi Kalva. The Collector stressed the importance of finishing the acquisition on time to prevent project delays.
Notices have been sent to farmers about the land acquisition. The Collector instructed officials to quickly give compensation cheques to affected farmers under Packages 99/B and 100 and take over the lands. He called for a coordinated effort between the Revenue and Irrigation Departments to ensure the project progresses swiftly.
The meeting included Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, Special Deputy Collector for Land Acquisition Srinivas Rao, District Irrigation Officer Srinivas Rao, along with Irrigation Department DEs and AEs, Gadwal Tahsildar Mallikarjun, Dharur Tahsildar Narender, and other officials.
This initiative aims to boost the progress of the Jawahar Nettempadu Lift Irrigation Project, which seeks to enhance irrigation for many farmers.
