District Collector G Ravi Nayak held a review meeting with tahsildars to discuss pending issues of the people. He directed officials to resolve these issues under various schemes like Dharani, Prajavani, Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak in a time-bound manner. The Collector appreciated mandal tahsildars for resolving many petitions quickly, but urged officials to clear pending files faster. He emphasized the importance of gaining the confidence of the people and taking strict action against illegal sand transportation and unauthorised vehicles on roads.
Mines AD Vijayakumar reported that 139 vehicles were inspected and 18 were found to be unauthorised. A fine of Rs 46,400 was collected from them. The Collector also reminded officials that there are 110 pending applications under Kalayana Laxmi and Shandi Mumbark schemes that need to be resolved immediately. He appreciated tahsildars for their work in resolving Dharani applications, with around 130 to 140 applications being lodged every day.
