In Hyderabad, the Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry (ABWCI) and NIMSME organized a symposium to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event highlighted the important role of women in driving social and economic progress through creativity and innovation. The goal was to inspire everyone to use their creative potential for positive change.

The founder of ABWCI, Parul Soni, explained that the symposium aimed to bring together influential figures to generate innovative ideas and sustainable solutions for MSMEs. Small-scale industries often struggle to invest in innovation, so the organization is working to connect Indian entrepreneurs with trade ideas from other countries.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, private sector, and other organizations in promoting innovation. Despite an increase in the participation of women in the workforce in India, their contribution to entrepreneurship has not seen significant growth due to a lack of support from the ecosystem.

Notable speakers at the symposium included K. Ratna Prabha, Ajit Rangnekar, Dr S Glory Swarupa, Rama Devi Kanneganti, Dr Radhakishore Pandrangi, and Dr. Ambika Sharma. They discussed the need for a more supportive environment for women entrepreneurs to thrive.
