The Congress party has called on K T Rama Rao of the BRS to address allegations made by Anakapalli MP CM Ramesh about a past merger proposal between BRS and BJP.

Aadi Srinivas, a government whip, has raised concerns about KTR’s silence. He wants KTR to clarify if he visited CM Ramesh’s home and offered to merge BRS with BJP. Srinivas questions if KTR suggested that dropping cases against Kavitha could lead to a merger. He insists that KTR reveal the truth to the public.

Vemulawada MLA believes the connection between the pink party and Telangana weakened when the party’s name changed to Bharat. He urges BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to break his silence. The MLA recalls how KCR did not fulfill his promise to merge with the Congress after Telangana‘s formation, betraying the party and its leader Sonia Gandhi.

Choppadandi MLA M Satyam highlights that there has been no conflict between the two parties for a decade. He states that CM Ramesh’s comments support Congress’s claims. Satyam questions if KTR indeed met CM Ramesh and discussed a merger in exchange for sparing KCR’s family from ED and CBI scrutiny. He notes that remarks by Bandi Sanjay, a Telangana MP, further back CM Ramesh’s assertions.
