Hyderabad: Congress lawmakers criticized BRS’s working president, K T Rama Rao (KTR), for his visit to the Somajiguda Press Club, calling it a publicity stunt. They claimed he aimed to draw attention away from family disputes over political succession. Addanki Dayakar and Rammohan Reddy challenged KTR to bring KCR to the Assembly for discussions on important public issues if the BRS genuinely cares.
In a press meeting, MLAs Addanki Dayakar and Rammohan Reddy accused KCR of ignoring legislative duties despite leading the opposition. Dayakar criticized KTR’s behavior, urging him to bring KCR for an Assembly debate. He insisted that people no longer trust KTR’s antics.
Pargi MLA T Ram Mohan Reddy noted BRS leaders avoided discussions on farmer welfare in the Assembly. He questioned KTR’s actions at the Press Club, especially since the Chief Minister was preoccupied in Delhi. Reddy accused KTR of lying and attending the club without notice.
In another press conference, MLC Balmoor Venkat questioned why KCR feared Assembly debates. He mentioned CM Revanth Reddy’s challenge to discuss alleged fraud in the Banakacherla project. Venkat highlighted internal family conflicts, suggesting KTR seeks attention amid Kavitha’s bid for political succession.
