Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, along with other party members, released the party’s manifesto ‘Nyay Patra’ during a public meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday. The Lok Sabha elections are seen as a battle between those who aim to destroy the Constitution and democracy, and those who want to work for the people’s welfare.

Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP-led Central government, calling the electoral bonds scheme the “world’s biggest scam” and accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of appointing “his people” in the Election Commission. He also claimed that under the BJP regime, the Enforcement Directorate had become an ‘extortion directorate’.

During an election rally in Thukkuguda near Hyderabad, Rahul Gandhi highlighted issues such as farmer suicides, the waiver of loans for the rich, and the increase in poverty under Modi’s government. He mentioned the Congress manifesto’s focus on ‘Nyays’ or justice, including ‘Kisan Nyay’ which promises farm loan waivers and legal guarantees for minimum support price if they come to power.

Rahul Gandhi also criticized the TRS government in Telangana, comparing their tactics to those of the Modi government at the Centre. He promised that the Congress would work for the poor and downtrodden sections of society, focusing on initiatives like a caste census and guaranteed minimum salaries for unemployed youth.

Overall, Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the Congress government would prioritize the needs of marginalized communities and work towards improving the lives of all citizens.
