Hyderabad: The Congress party is trying to revive the sentiment for a separate Telangana state among voters. Their campaign strategy includes highlighting injustices faced by martyrs’ families, the struggle for jobs, and corruption in government schemes. They will ask the people if they want a change for better governance.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has decided to make Sonia Gandhi, the former party president, the face of the campaign. Sonia Gandhi will explain why the Congress chose to create a separate state and how they sacrificed power for the benefit of the people. She will also criticize the state government and expose their deceitful actions over the past nine years.

The plan is to release video clips of Sonia Gandhi’s speeches in phases and make them go viral on social media. These videos will also be played during public meetings across the state. The Congress party wants to claim credit for the creation of Telangana and emphasize that it was their efforts, not KCR’s, that made it a reality. The videos will highlight what the Congress has done for the region in the past and promise what they will do if voted to power.

The party believes that Sonia Gandhi’s appeal will resonate with voters who are dissatisfied with the current government. They will also highlight her role as UPA chairperson and the challenges she faced in making the decision to bifurcate the state. This strategy is particularly aimed at convincing rural voters.

To ensure Sonia Gandhi’s appeal reaches every doorstep effectively, the party is fine-tuning this strategy. They plan to dub her speeches in Telugu while she speaks in Hindi. This experiment is expected to be rolled out in the next two weeks.

Overall, the Congress party hopes that their campaign, led by Sonia Gandhi, will win over voters who want change and bring about a corruption-free golden Telangana.
