Congress leaders, led by Hanumakonda DCC president Naini Rajender Reddy, inspected land encroachment at the FTL of Bhadrakali lake in Hanumakonda on Monday. During a press conference, Naini criticized both BJP and BRS for not fulfilling their election promises and focusing on allegations against each other instead of addressing issues faced by the people. He specifically mentioned the failure of the KCR Government to provide double bedroom houses to the poor. Naini alleged that the followers of Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar collected money from people and demanded that the MLA distribute the double bedroom houses to eligible beneficiaries.
Naini also highlighted the high number of complaints related to land grabbing against BRS leaders in Prajavani, a grievance cell conducted by Warangal Police Commissionerate. He accused MLA’s younger brother Vijay Bhaskar, Soda Kiran, and Ranjith Reddy of grabbing land under the FTL of Bhadrakali Lake. Naini urged people to approach the Commissioner of Police if they face any issues related to land grabbing.
Naini questioned the BRS leaders’ failure to implement a new Master Plan for Warangal, despite the city being selected under three flagship programs. He also asked about the underground drainage system promised by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in 2014. Naini criticized the government’s decision to organize decennial celebrations when it has done nothing for the people.
Later, Congress leaders led by Naini inspected the FTL of Bhadrakali Lake and showed the encroachments to the media. Senior leaders Bathini Srinivas Rao, T Venkateshwarlu, P Sriman, Binny Laxman, Puli Raju, Dr Puli Anil Kumar, B Sarala, B Vikram, K Venkat, G Swapna, and P Rahul Reddy were among others present.
