The All-India Congress Committee (AICC) is planning to use an interview-based selection system for the upcoming Assembly elections. A three-member steering committee, consisting of senior TPCC leaders, will shortlist the candidates and conduct interviews. During the interviews, the committee will ask questions to assess various factors that determine a candidate’s chances of winning the election. The questions will cover topics like the candidate’s financial resources, loyalty to the party, duration of party membership, track record of switching parties, and commitment to staying with the party after winning.
