The Telangana Congress is getting ready for the State Assembly elections. They want to know their chances of winning in each constituency every 15 days. The Vice Presidents and General Secretaries of the party are responsible for creating reports on each constituency. They will also come up with a strategy for the party until the elections.
Congress leaders met in Hyderabad on Saturday to discuss their plans. They were unhappy that some leaders weren’t visiting constituencies at least once a month. The party leaders were asked to visit the constituencies, create reports on winning prospects, internal politics, people’s expectations, and rival party activities.
The Telangana Congress Chief warned leaders not to create trouble by making controversial statements or encouraging group politics in assembly segments where the party was strong enough. They also discussed countering the BRS leaders’ ‘false campaign’ and exposing the failures of the State government in every village.
The Congress leadership also invited AICC leader Sonia Gandhi to the foundation laying programme of the Rajiv Gandhi Knowledge Centre in Hyderabad. They praised CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for completing his padayatra on 1000 km stretch.
