Attempted Murder in Car
Complainant Srinivas at Venkatapuram Police Station
Venkatapuram, June 25: An incident of attempted murder by stabbing in a car was reported in Venkatapuram Mandal of Mulugu district on Sunday. According to the details provided by the victim, MPTC member Shrinivas, on Sunday morning, Congress leaders Dugyala Raju and Errabelli Bhimrao came to Peddapuram village in Venkatapuram Mandal on their bike and used abusive language with indecent gestures.
They stabbed him and tried to murder him by saying “bandi apura” (stab him). In response to the threat, Dugyala Raju came to his office stating that he should obey their demands and make bills for their illegal activities. He warned them that he will report their actions to the authorities. Dugyala Raju, who was already eyeing on him, along with Bhimrao and a few others, came in a car and stabbed him. They then tried to run him over with the car, intentionally hitting him repeatedly. The people present in the car were under the influence of alcohol. Shrinivas explained the incident as he filed a complaint at Venkatapuram Police Station.
