The Congress party is getting ready for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by selecting candidates from Telangana. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who are part of the Central Election Committee, will be meeting in New Delhi on Thursday to finalize at least eight to ten candidates for the first list.

The screening committee for Telangana has already sent a list of around 10 candidates to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to ensure the right people are chosen for the elections. Party sources suggest that after the meeting on Thursday, the names of the candidates in the first list may be announced either on the same day or the next day. This is important as other parties like BJP and BRS have already announced their candidates.
