The Congress party is making important political moves in Nakirekal Municipality by initiating a no-confidence motion. This strategy aims to bring the municipality under Congress control, thanks to the backing of councillors who were previously with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Congress MLA Vemula Veeresham is playing a key role in this transition. As part of the plan, Chairman Rachakonda Srinivas is set to be removed from his position today. Nakirekal Municipality is made up of 20 wards, with councillors distributed as follows: 11 from BRS, six from the All India Forward Black Lion, two from Congress, and one independent.

A surprising change has occurred, with six councillors elected under the Black Lion symbol joining the no-confidence motion along with two others who were previously against Congress. Additionally, seven BRS councillors have also supported the motion. This has resulted in a total of 16 councillors backing the no-confidence vote.
