Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leader B Mahesh Kumar Goud has sharply criticized BJP MP Eatala Rajender for making harsh remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Goud dismissed Eatala’s comments, saying they were driven by disappointment over not becoming the BJP State President.
Addressing reporters at Gandhi Bhavan, Goud said Eatala had no right to target the CM. He reminded everyone of Eatala’s past controversies, including his alleged role in land grabbing cases. Goud warned that Congress supporters won’t stay quiet if such attacks on Revanth Reddy continue.
He accused Eatala of being part of the corrupt governance under former CM KCR, calling him one of the “forty thieves” who misused power and led Telangana into financial trouble. Goud said Eatala’s recent remarks were disrespectful and unacceptable from someone of his political stature.
Responding to Eatala’s comments about HYDRA, Goud again pointed to the past land encroachment allegations involving Endowments Department properties. He questioned how someone with such a history could criticize the current government’s efforts.
Despite global economic challenges, Goud claimed the Congress government in Telangana is delivering on its promises and pushing forward with welfare schemes. He accused the BJP of blocking progress in the state and engaging in false campaigns to harm the government’s image.
He also criticized BJP’s Backward Class (BC) leaders for opposing the BC Bill, calling their behavior biased and difficult to understand.
Goud said that while Telangana is moving ahead with development, BJP leaders seem more interested in political games than in supporting the people.
