The Telangana Congress is trying to appeal to voters by using the name of Lord Ram during the Sri Rama Navami festival. Congress candidates in the Lok Sabha elections are chanting ‘Jai Sriram’ and using Lord Ram’s name in their social media campaigns to show their devotion to Hinduism and counter the BJP.

Some Congress candidates are praising Lord Ram as a symbol of ideals and a guide for implementing promises to bring about ‘Ram Raj’ in Telangana. They are also trying to compete with the BJP’s distribution of Ayodhya Ram‘s ‘talambralu’ by using Lord Ram in their posts.
