Bhupalpally – Former Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy expressed gratitude to all urban and mandal leaders, party workers, and supporters who helped organize a successful public meeting without any problems.
Speaking at a press meet on Monday at the BRS district office, led by town president Katakam Janardhan, Reddy strongly criticized the Congress party. He said the huge turnout at the BRS public meeting on Sunday had clearly unsettled Congress leaders.
Reddy accused the ruling party of breaking its promises. He said people trusted the Congress and voted them into power based on lies. According to him, Congress promised to waive ₹2 lakh in loans with just one signature but failed to deliver. He added that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy even swore before God to fulfill those promises, yet did not keep his word. Reddy claimed this kind of broken oath was unheard of in Indian politics and blamed Revanth Reddy entirely for it.
He also slammed Congress for not giving pensions to both spouses, as they had pledged. He pointed out that even widows were denied the pensions previously given to their husbands. He criticized the government for not fulfilling their promise of providing an extra ₹1,00,000 and a gold sovereign under the Kalyana Lakshmi marriage scheme.
Reddy raised concerns over the lack of openness in the housing scheme. He said officials read out the names of applicants but hid how many actually got approval. He demanded transparency in the process.
Quoting KCR, Reddy claimed that Congress has become the biggest obstacle to Telangana’s growth. He accused them of trying to intimidate police officers by threatening them with legal action and jail. He said the fear among Congress leaders even showed in how poorly the traffic was managed during the BRS meeting.
Reddy ended by saying the people are now seeing through the false promises and failures of the Congress government.
