Power users in Jagtial have been informed that they will be facing an additional consumer deposit (ACD) charge from Transco. The collection of the ACD was put on hold last year due to protests from consumers and opposition parties. However, notices are now being sent to consumers and the ACD will be collected through monthly bills based on annual power consumption. The charges were originally supposed to be levied in February and March of this year, but were delayed due to the protests.
