Cotton farmers from Chintapalli, Nalgonda, staged a protest on Sunday. The protest took place on the Hyderabad-Nagarjuna Sagar state highway near the Chintapalli mandal headquarters. The farmers were upset because they believed the cotton mill management was cheating them during the weighing process.

One farmer explained that after weighing his cotton at a weighbridge near the Sai Baba temple, he took it to a cotton mill in the mandal headquarters. However, the weight recorded at the cotton mill was 60 kilograms less than the weight recorded at the weighbridge.

The farmers, unsure of how to get help, felt they had no other choice but to protest. They are now demanding action against the cotton mill management for what they say is fraud.
