Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has criticized the Congress-led government in Telangana, accusing it of not bringing any significant changes to governance. Speaking at a public event, Reddy said the governance under the Congress party is no different from the previous rule by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). According to him, people are unhappy with the lack of progress in the state.
Reddy also expressed disappointment over the nature of political discourse in Telangana. He pointed out that instead of discussing important issues that affect the public, political conversations have shifted towards personal attacks and blame games. “Political discussions have turned into personal criticism, ignoring the problems faced by the people,” he stated.
The Union Minister went on to accuse both the Congress and BRS of lowering the standards of politics in the state. He argued that these two parties have reduced politics to a competition of accusations and personal vendettas, rather than focusing on real issues. Reddy believes this has harmed the political landscape in Telangana.
Reddy further criticized the current Congress-led government, calling its leadership a “facade” that offers no meaningful reforms. He claimed that the Congress is merely continuing the same practices as the BRS, with no real improvements in governance.
These remarks from Reddy come at a time when the Congress government in Telangana is facing criticism, not just from the Union Minister but also from other opposition parties, including the BRS, over its performance in handling various issues.
