    Preparations are underway in Hyderabad for the counting of votes from the Lok Sabha elections on June 4. Training has been provided to officials who will be involved in the counting process. Security measures have been put in place to safeguard the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) stored in strongrooms.

    Training sessions have been conducted for micro-observers, counting supervisors, and assistants at the Komaram Bheem Adivasi Building in Banjara Hills. The Election Commission’s rules will be followed during the counting process, with any technical issues being addressed by experts.

    Counting will commence at 8 am on June 4, with fourteen tables set up in each hall for the round-wise counting. Micro-observers play a crucial role in ensuring transparency during the counting process. Mobile phones will not be allowed on the counting day.

    Each counting center will be equipped with CCTVs, backup generators, and fire-fighting units. The entire process will be closely monitored to ensure a fair count. Counting will take place at 34 locations across the State, with a total of 1,855 counting tables for EVMs and 276 for postal ballots. Officers have been urged to perform their duties with transparency and commitment.
