Sphoorthy Engineering College recently organized a special art workshop called “Creative Strokes” from May 1 to May 7, designed exclusively for its female students. The event was part of the college’s SheInspires initiative, which focuses on encouraging women through creative and skill-building activities.
The workshop was led by Ms. Chinni Leela Sravanthi, an experienced art trainer. Over the week, participants got hands-on experience with different art styles. They learned how to make clay jewellery, practiced canvas painting, experimented with tie & dye techniques, and explored Pichwai art. All sessions used high-quality Fevicryl materials to support the creative process.
The main goal of the workshop was to unlock creativity, promote self-expression, and introduce students to the idea of art-based entrepreneurship. Organizers hoped the experience would help young women discover new talents and possibly turn their passion into business ventures.
College Secretary Shri S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Principal Dr. Giridhar Akkula praised the effort, especially recognizing Dr. Gayathri and her team for making the event a success. They highlighted how such programs empower women and bring more color, confidence, and creativity to campus life.
