    The moon sighting committee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has declared that the auspicious month of Ramzan will commence on Monday, March 11. The committee also stated that Taraweeh prayers will commence on Sunday, March 10, following the Isha prayers.

    The confirmation came after the crescent moon, symbolizing the commencement of the holy month of Ramzan 1445 AH, was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Sunday evening, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

    Sunday marked the culmination of Shaban 1445 Hijri, with the sighting of the crescent on its 29th day.

    The announcement follows the Supreme Court’s call on Saturday, March 9, urging Muslims across the Kingdom to observe the sighting of the Ramzan 1445 crescent on Sunday evening.

    Furthermore, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar have also announced that Monday will mark the beginning of Ramzan 2024.
