The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, C V Anand, recently recognized the commendable efforts of two police officers who helped save the lives of ABVP students during a recent incident. Inspector Harishchandra Reddy from Punjagutta and Sub-Inspector Karunakar Reddy from Banjara Hills were felicitated by Anand for their timely response in averting a major mishap that could have resulted in the loss of 16 lives near Khairtabad.

The incident occurred on March 21 when a group of ABVP students attempted to besiege Pragati Bhavan. However, thanks to the quick thinking and actions of the two officers, the situation was brought under control and the lives of the students were saved.

Anand acknowledged the bravery and dedication of the two officers, who put their own safety at risk to ensure the safety of others. The Commissioner’s recognition serves as a reminder of the importance of the police force in maintaining law and order and protecting citizens in times of crisis.
