The Cyberabad Police have announced special traffic restrictions for New Year’s Eve to ensure public safety during celebrations. The measures will affect construction and debris transport vehicles within the city limits.

Commissioner Avinash Mohanty has issued orders prohibiting all construction and debris (C&D) transport vehicles from operating inside the Outer Ring Road (ORR) during the late-night hours of the New Year celebrations.

The traffic advisory applies exclusively to construction and debris transport vehicles. The ban covers the entire area within the Outer Ring Road, which encompasses major parts of Cyberabad including key IT hubs, residential areas, and commercial zones.

The decision comes as authorities anticipate heavy traffic and large crowds gathering at various locations across Cyberabad to celebrate the arrival of the new year. By restricting heavy vehicles during peak celebration hours, police aim to reduce congestion and minimize potential safety hazards on the roads.

Construction vehicles and debris transport trucks are typically large, slow-moving vehicles that can obstruct traffic flow. Their presence during high-traffic periods could lead to bottlenecks and increase the risk of accidents, especially when roads are crowded with revelers.

The Cyberabad Police have urged all construction companies and transport operators to plan their vehicle movements accordingly and comply with the temporary restrictions. Violators may face penalties under traffic regulations.

This measure is part of the broader traffic management plan implemented by Cyberabad Police for New Year celebrations. Authorities typically deploy additional personnel at major junctions and entertainment zones to manage crowds and ensure smooth traffic movement during the festive period.

The restriction order was officially announced through the Cyberabad Police’s social media channels, ensuring wide dissemination of the information to all stakeholders including construction companies, transport operators, and the general public.
