Cyberabad Police Solve Burglary Case, Recover Rs 7 Lakh Worth of Gold

The Cyberabad Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for burglarizing his relative’s house in Jagadgirigutta. The suspect, identified as Nadgotti Bharath from Warangal, was caught with stolen gold ornaments weighing 12.7 tulas, worth over Rs 7 lakh.

The theft occurred on December 15 while the homeowner, Jangam Paramesh, was away attending a family event in Jangoan, Warangal. When he returned three days later, he found a broken window and a damaged almirah lock in his bedroom. The gold jewelry stored in the almirah was missing.

After Paramesh filed a complaint, the police began investigating and identified Bharath as the suspect. Officials revealed that Bharath broke the PVC window glass using a stone to enter the house. He then forced open the almirah to steal the ornaments.

Bharath is a distant relative of the complainant. Investigations uncovered that he faced a difficult childhood, losing both parents at an early age. After finishing Class X, he lived in an orphanage and later stayed with relatives while working at hair salons.

Over time, Bharath developed unhealthy habits such as smoking and drinking, influenced by negative peers. Struggling with financial issues and addiction, he turned to burglary to support himself.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) G. Hanumantha Rao, Bharath has a history of theft-related crimes. He was previously arrested by the Medipally Police in 2020 and the Charminar Police in 2022. Despite serving jail time, he returned to criminal activities upon his release, showing no signs of reform.

The Cyberabad Police successfully recovered the stolen gold ornaments and have taken Bharath into custody.
