In a major action against drug trafficking, the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) and Rajendranagar Police have arrested five people involved in transporting dry ganja. The suspects were moving the illegal substance from Araku in Andhra Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai. The police seized 254 kilograms of dry ganja and two Maruti Suzuki Ertiga cars, with the total value of the seized items estimated to be over ₹1.04 crore.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Thakur Sachin Singh (30), Mohd Nadeem (21), Mohd Saqlain (24), Mohd Saleem (24), and Prasanth Singh (22). They were caught transporting the ganja through Hyderabad.

Reports say that Thakur Sachin Singh, the main suspect, has been involved in the drug trade for the past five years. He worked with partners in both Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh. The ganja was bought from a supplier named Raju in Odisha, and Singh planned to sell it in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh.

The police stopped the suspects on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Rajendranagar while they were trying to transfer the ganja. Although two of their accomplices managed to escape, the police successfully arrested the five suspects and seized the illegal goods.
