The Civil Supplies Department Principal Secretary D.S. Chauhan recently held a video conference with Additional Collectors from all districts in the state to check on the rice purchase centers’ operations. During the meeting, marketing and agriculture officials suggested providing tarpaulin covers at paddy procurement centers to protect grains from rain damage.
It was emphasized that early steps should be taken to prevent grains from getting wet. Farmers were assured that wet grains would also be purchased. District Additional Collector Revenue Sitarama Rao, District Marketing Officer Balamani, District Agriculture Officer Venkateshwarlu, and Civil Supplies Department officials participated in the video conference held at the NIC Hall of the District IDOC office in Nagarkurnool.
