Hyderabad: On Friday, former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya visited the home of newlyweds Jaya and Chaitanya Reddy in Sangareddy. He brought them new clothes and wished them well. Telangana PCC working president Jagga Reddy expressed his admiration for Dattatreya, saying he too serves people beyond political lines, inspired by Dattatreya’s example.
Reddy mentioned that he learned valuable lessons from Dattatreya and aims to serve people following his inspiration. Dattatreya gifted Reddy his book, “Prajala Kathe Naa Aathmakatha.” He also invited Reddy to the Alai Balai event in Hyderabad on October 3.
During their chat, Reddy shared how, in the past, Dattatreya would provide recommendation letters and ensure people received help. He reminisced about his wedding at Lalaguda Ramalayam with Dattatreya present.
Jagga Reddy told Dattatreya about a promise made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy after he lost the last election. Revanth Reddy assured him a chairman position and stated, “You’ve done a lot for the party. To maintain your status in your area, I will appoint your wife Nirmala as a corporation chairman under my quota.” Revanth Reddy also promised to inform Rahul Gandhi about this decision. Reddy explained that he asked for the TGIIC chairman post, and the CM approved it.
The meeting brought back memories of those who worked with Dattatreya 40 years ago, including Panyala Prabhakar, BHEL Anjaiah, Mithai Narayan, Mithai Veeranna, Reddypalli Vittal Goud, Bestha Nursing, and Thopaji Ananth Kishan.
