Daughter of Narayanpet’s Superintendent of Police N Venkateshwarlu, Uma Harathi, achieves 3rd position in exams, in Hyderabad.

Telangana has done well in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam. Uma Harathi N ranked third in the exam and is one of four top-rankers nationally. Uma is a BTech graduate in Civil Engineering from IIT Hyderabad and chose Anthropology as her optional subject. Her father, N Venkateshwarlu, is the Superintendent of Police of Narayanpet. Uma said that her family’s support and her father’s motivation helped her achieve her goal. She emphasized that perseverance pays off.

N Venkateshwarlu expressed his pride in his daughter’s achievement. He said that Uma had set her sights on the Civil Services from the start and had been preparing for the exam for five years. Despite facing many challenges and failures, she never gave up.

Other successful candidates from Telangana included Pavan Datta (rank 22), Sri Sai Ashrith Sanketh Ajmera (rank 35), Shakhamuri (Rank-40), and Richa Kulkarni (rank 54). Many of the successful candidates had backgrounds in engineering and humanities.
