District Collector BM Santhosh, along with district Agriculture officials, visited the PACS centre and a pesticides shop in Gadwal. During the surprise inspection at the PACS office, the Collector stressed the importance of selling seeds and fertilizers at subsidized rates to authorized farmers, as per the established rules.
Gadwal PACS Secretary Venkateswara Reddy assured that necessary seeds and fertilizers from Telangana State Seeds, National Seeds Corporation, and Haka will be made available to farmers within 15 days. The officials checked if all details were entered correctly and emphasized the need to prevent farmers from suffering due to fake seeds.
District Agriculture Officer Govindu Naik, Assistant Director of Agriculture Department Sangeet Lakshmi, and other officials joined the inspection to ensure compliance with regulations and proper supply of essential agricultural inputs.
