Hyderabad: The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) carried out raids on 15 private medical shops. These shops were located within the premises of government hospitals in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar. During the raids, the DCA found that several rules were being violated.

The DCA reported that these medical shops were selling drugs without prescriptions from registered medical practitioners. Additionally, the shops did not have registered pharmacists present. Important records, such as registers for scheduled drugs, were not maintained, and the shops failed to show sales and purchase bills. The drugs were also not stored according to the recommended conditions.
