Hyderabad: The Telangana State Drugs Control Administration (DCA) recently discovered fake Levipil 500 tablets, a medication for epilepsy, during raids. These counterfeit drugs, falsely labeled as products of Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd, were confiscated.

The fake tablets were being distributed in Kavadiguda and Karimnagar. Raids took place at two locations: Arvind Pharma Distributors in BI Colony, Kavadiguda, and Venu Medical Agencies in Sai Nagar, Karimnagar. The DCA’s special teams seized these bogus drugs, confirming their counterfeit status with Sun Pharma’s official records.

DCA teams conducted the raids on July 4 at Arvind Pharma and on July 5, 2025, at Venu Medical Agencies. Both locations were selling counterfeit Levipil 500 tablets, falsely claiming to be made by Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd.
