Hyderabad: Naraparaju Ramchander Rao, the new President of the Telangana State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was honored by the Center for Brahmin Excellence on Sunday.
At the event, Ramchander Rao thanked the CBE and its members for their support. He remembered a verse by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee about unity and teamwork. Rao promised to work with everyone to achieve common goals. He emphasized the responsibility of all citizens to protect India’s cultural and traditional values. He mentioned that Brahmins have a slightly bigger role in this duty.
Rao expressed concern about some groups trying to undermine these values for personal gain. He traced these issues back to the colonial era under British rule and stated that Brahmins have always been respected by other communities.
Vidya Sankar Bharati Swamiji from Pushpagiri Peetham highlighted the importance of the event as a symbol of the community’s revival. He blessed Ramchander Rao, recalling Rao’s visit to Pushpagiri Peetham on Ugadi a hundred days ago.
The event was overseen by K V Ramana Chary, Honorary Adviser at CBE. Ramchander Rao was warmly welcomed by the CBE Executive Committee and participants. He joined Vidya Sankar Bharati Swamiji, MLC Surabhi Vani Devi, and K V Ramana Chary on the dais. Other notable attendees included CBE President Vijay Oddiraju, Secretary Jwala Narasimha Rao Vanam, Treasurer Sesha RSR Prasad Kondapalli, K Aravinda Rao, MVR Sarma, and more.
