Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is planning to sue officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) for allegedly filing false affidavits in courts. The CBI has summoned Kejriwal to appear before them on Sunday to answer questions. Manish Sisodia, a former Delhi deputy chief minister, has already been arrested in connection with the case.

Kejriwal accused the agencies of torturing people to extract false confessions, saying that they are using third-degree methods, mental harassment and physical torture. He claimed that officials were asking people to falsely implicate Sisodia and even threatened their families.

The chief minister also accused the ED and CBI of misleading the court by filing false affidavits. He said that the ED’s charge sheet claimed Sisodia destroyed 14 phones, but most of them were still being used by volunteers. Kejriwal said that the agencies knew about these phones and were misleading the court.
