Nagarkurnool (Achampet): On Sunday, District Collector Badavath Santosh visited Gattu Thumman village in Balmur mandal to check on preparations for a major event. He reviewed the setup for a new 33/11 kV power substation with officials from the Electricity Department.
The foundation stone ceremony will take place on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will leave Begumpet Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad at 9 AM and is expected to arrive at the village by 11 AM.
During his visit, the Deputy CM will lay foundation stones for several new power substations across multiple mandals in the Nagarkurnool district. These projects aim to strengthen the local power supply.
The total investment for these projects exceeds ₹40 crore. The breakdown includes:
– ₹25 crore for a substation at Polkumpalli
– ₹1.82 crore at Bommanapalli
– ₹1.73 crore at Padara
– ₹2.24 crore at Bhakaram in Lingala mandal
– ₹2.54 crore at Gattu Thumman
– ₹2.49 crore at Kamsanpalli in Uppununthala mandal
– ₹2.74 crore at Ulpara in Vangoor mandal
– ₹1.99 crore at Singaram in Achampet mandal
After laying the stones, the Deputy CM will address a public gathering at 12 PM. Later, he will head to Ranga Reddy district by 2 PM.
Collector Santosh directed all departments to ensure the arrangements are flawless. He emphasized teamwork and timely execution. Officials from the Revenue, Electricity, and Panchayat Raj departments joined him during the inspection.
