Khammam: Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Criticizes Opposition, Highlights Congress Achievements

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, during his tour in Khammam district on Sunday, criticized the BRS leaders for allegedly politicizing developmental issues and inciting people. While laying foundation stones for various development projects in villages like Narasimhapuram, Buchireddypalem, Bangagandlapadu, Takkellapadu, and Sakinaveedu in Errupalem mandal, he accused the opposition of obstructing progress for political gains.

Later, hundreds of BRS leaders from Errupalem mandal joined the Congress party. Deputy CM Vikramarka welcomed them and addressed the gathering. He emphasized that good politicians should support beneficial projects instead of hindering them. He claimed the Congress government was diligently working to fulfill its electoral promises and accused the opposition of putting personal interests above public welfare.

Highlighting the achievements of the Congress government, Vikramarka stated that unlike the previous BRS government, which failed to implement a loan waiver in 10 years, the Congress government had deposited ₹22,000 crore within one year to waive loans up to ₹2 lakh for farmers. He also criticized the BRS for not providing Rythu Bandhu funds, whereas the Congress had deposited ₹7,624 crore into farmers’ accounts in a single day.

The Deputy CM announced that the Congress government would implement the Rythu Bharosa scheme starting from the 26th of this month. Under the scheme, ₹8,400 crore would be directly deposited into farmers’ accounts. Additionally, he shared plans for the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme, which would provide ₹12,000 annually to landless agricultural laborer families, with the first installment being credited after January 26.

Vikramarka also took a dig at the previous BRS government for failing to address unemployment. He noted that the Congress government had conducted rigorous examinations and provided job appointment letters to 56,000 youth within its first year in power, fulfilling the aspirations of unemployed individuals across the state.
