Hyderabad: On Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu outlined a bold plan to make the Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRDI) the top training center in India.
During a meeting of the MCRHRDI Governing Body Sub-Committee, Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the Telangana government’s commitment to making MCRHRDI a leader in governance training. The meeting, led by him, included Ministers Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu, alongside MCRHRDI Director General Shanthikumari and other officials.
The Deputy Chief Minister stressed the importance of Telangana becoming the first state in India to fully integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into governance. To achieve this, he suggested comprehensive AI training for officials at all levels, from Principal Secretaries to village officers.
In an innovative step, Bhatti proposed a two-day training program to financially empower leaders of self-help groups at district and mandal levels. This initiative aims to enhance the economic status of grassroots leaders and increase their impact on local development.
He pointed out that MCRHRDI has been overlooked in the past ten years and announced that subcommittee meetings will now occur twice a year to ensure continuous improvement and oversight. Bhatti emphasized achieving self-sufficiency and widespread economic growth through structured capacity building.
The meeting concluded with unanimous support for the new strategy. Committee members agreed to support the state’s vision of governance that is technologically advanced, economically inclusive, and socially empowering.
This vision will begin with revitalizing MCRHRDI as a key institution.
