Hyderabad is quickly becoming a major center for legal technology, according to IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. At the closing event of The Grand Master 2025 – Hyderabad Edition, organized by Lex Witness, he shared how technology has transformed the legal field.

As a former lawyer, Sridhar Babu emphasized the impact of technology on the legal system. He highlighted innovations like AI-based legal research, virtual courtrooms, real-time case tracking, and e-filing as key advancements. Lawyers today, he said, are not just court officers but vital defenders of rights and equality.

Referring to the Nasscom Legal Tech Report 2025, he noted that 63% of large Indian companies have adopted AI and automation in legal tasks. Over 120 legal tech startups in Hyderabad are advancing fields such as e-discovery and dispute analytics, strengthening the city’s presence in the legal tech sector.
