    GHMC Ensures Smooth Arrangements for Ramzan in Hyderabad

    The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is committed to making the holy month of Ramzan smooth and hassle-free for everyone. Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Sobhan Reddy assured that all necessary arrangements, including sanitation and utility services, will be efficiently managed to ensure a peaceful and convenient experience for prayers and fasting.

    A special meeting was held on Tuesday, chaired by the Deputy Mayor. Representatives from mosques in the Secunderabad constituency, along with officials from city police, GHMC, HMWSSB, TSSPDCL, and other departments, participated in the discussion.

    During the meeting, several key issues were addressed. Officials planned regular and special cleaning around mosques, road repairs leading to mosques, and proper lane markings. Special cleaning teams will be deployed in the evenings after Iftar, while traffic coordination will be improved to reduce congestion near mosques. Additionally, anti-mosquito fogging will be conducted every alternate day.

    The Deputy Mayor also instructed officials to tackle stray dog issues, ensure fully functional streetlights, and provide an uninterrupted power supply throughout Ramzan. She directed the water department to maintain a regular drinking water supply and resolve drainage issues promptly. Joint efforts with the health department will also focus on maintaining hygiene.

    To meet public needs during the festive season, permissions have been granted for special bazaars. The Deputy Mayor highlighted the importance of Ramzan for the Muslim community and assured that GHMC will enhance its services based on past experiences. Clean roads, proper lighting, and mosquito control will remain top priorities.

    She urged officials to take proactive steps for timely completion of all arrangements. Additionally, she appealed to citizens for their cooperation and encouraged them to share their suggestions, promising quick resolutions to any concerns.
